Photography has been my hobby for the past 10 years. I began taking pictures when my grandfather gifted me with a camera when I was 10 years old. At that time, digital cameras have yet to come into existence. My first camera was called an “instamatic” camera – the one that you point and shoot without making any adjustments. Beauty is in the eye of THE beholder.
During one of my photography classes, our instructor asked all 15 members of the class to take a picture of the tree growing just outside our building. It was a simple pine tree. I never thought taking a picture can be an art. I had been handy with a digital phone, one of those phones that you buy off the counter at any store that offers it. It comes in those flashy colors of neon blues, hot pinks and blazing reds. It is very easy. Just point and click. I never entertained any ideas about color and lighting and angles.
